Greetings from the croft!
I think it’s a neat coincidence that I have the pleasure to write my first editorial to this edition of The Crofter in the Medical Writing special issue on mentorship. I don’t have an official mentor but ever since I became a member of EMWA in 2019, I feel like I have been mentored in some way, organically, by each member I’ve met. In particular, my professional development has blossomed since joining the Sustainability Special Interest Group (SUS-SIG) in 2020. Now in 2021, I am thankful to be part of such an enthusiastic SIG that supports my efforts to learn more about sustainability in research, healthcare, and our medical writing profession.
